40 tons of Relief Materials sent to Kashmir by DSGMC


 New Delhi: 20-10-14

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee  sent 7 trucks loaded with 40 tonnes of relief material like rations, utensils and daily need goods to Jammu and Kashmir for the people affected by the recent floods.


After being cleared by Committee president Manjit Singh GK and General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa trucks has been moved to Rajouri, Poonch,and to  Sri Nagar. After arrival of these trucks to Gurdwara Shaheed Bunga in Srinagar , relief  material will be provided to the needy under care of Advocate Davinder Singh Behl.

 

These trucks consists of  18 tons of rice, 9 tons of lentils, 4.5 tons of sugar, 900 kg Tea Powder, 168 kg dry milk, salty 1200 kg snacks, 850 kg of flour, 560 kg Maggie, 1200 packet biscuits, 1438 packet juice, a set of 50 mattresses, 50 bottles of mustard oil, 20 toothpaste, 188 small cooking pots, 100 plates, 530 bowls, 1000 teaspoons, 96 pairs footwear, 141 toothbrushes, 107 soap dishes and 30 bags full of clothes.


Kashmir Delhi Committee of disaster relief programs run by Vice President Tanavata Singh who is looking after the arrival of the content checks of financial assistance to families affected by the committee will soon send information/report on the matter. On this occasion, the committee's senior vice president Ravinder Singh Khurana, Joint Secretary, Harmeet Singh Kalka, senior Akali leader Avtar Singh interest, Onkar Singh Thapar, Kuldeep Singh bhogal, Kulmohan Singh, Delhi committee member Hardev Singh Dhanoa, Paramjit Singh Chandok, Chaman Singh and Leader Amarjit Singh were present.
