With the passing away of Tine Laleman, (a young girl who died so suddenly & tragically in Leh in India on 27th August.09), the whole Faculty of Theology,KU Leuven,Belgium, is in sadness and mourning.

There was a wake service for Tine ,organised by the Faculty of Theology on Friday, 4 September 2009 at 7 pm in the parish church of Eernegem(near Brugge), the home town of Tine. The funeral took place on Saturday, 5 September 2009 at 11 am in the same church.

There were large number of students & a delegation in attendance from the University and Faculty of Theology led by the Rector of the University, Prof. Marc Waer and Prof. dr.Lieven Boeve(Dean),Prof.dr.Reimund Bierienger(Vice-Dean-Research) & above all, Prof. dr.Bert Broeckert who teaches World Religions, religion and culture, comparative religious ethics and new religious movements in Faculty of Theology & was team leader of Summer Course Programme on Indian Religions.

In dear Tine's memory, they all made prayers, spoke words of comfort to console & support her grieving family members.

Prof.dr.Bert Broeckert & Hans.mannaerts(a student & a classmate of Late Tine Laleman )paid their tribute by playing Flute in her memory.

As they say memories are golden .That may be true But we never wanted memories.Only you dear Tine.If tears could build a stairway & memories were a lane ,we would have surely walked right up to heaven to bring you back again.

WE MISS YOU ALWAYS.
